@Pete – I tried to find the exact same ones, but from what I can remember Fry’s didn’t have enough of the ones I needed. This was a while ago, so I don’t remember what voltage I ended up getting. You can read the link I had in the original post on AVS Forum. Those guys talk about using different voltages that work.

Mike your close up picture is exactly the same what I have. Did you replace the capacitors exactly the same value. Some people blogs say they replace theirs the 10V to 15V others say 25v. Is this OK. Need your advice.

I’m having the same issue with my Samsung. Does anybody know if this is fatal, or can I simply continue to turn it on/off/on to watch it without the dots? And as Tim asked, can a novice do this, or should I not attempt?

Thanks so much for this. I had a VIP membership, but cancelled it because their pricing is ridiculous for an infrequent user. They promptly removed my ability to play in iTunes with no notice and bombarded me with emails to come back at a *higher* price than I had been paying. Idiots – screw ‘em, your solution is perfect. The world is a better place because of people like you who take the time to share their knowledge. Thank you!!

We took our Samsung with the white dots (diamonds) to D&L Electronics in Ft. Lauderdale and had it fixed in one day for a hundred bucks.

@kamalpreet - There was an old defect in the code that caused the blip for some streams. I thought this version in Google Code was updated to fix that. Does this happen with all streams? Try a shoutcast and icecast stream and see if there is a difference. My metadata code has since been integrated into some of the forks of the official AudioStreamer github.

@greg singh – That URL plays fine in Streamly, my iPhone app. It looks like that stream requires a Live365 login. A normal browser link won’t be able to send the login details to Live365.

My bad english, It is not a blip (just read the definition of blip) but a very short distortion noise (or sometimes a tiny gap) in the music.

Hi guys,

Is it just me or is there an blip in the audio after every 20-30 seconds? I guess this happens when the metaDataUpdated method is called in the view.

Or does it just do it in the simulator? Would be great if someone could confirm. Thanks
