Streamly
Streamly is a streaming radio iPhone application. It can play MP3 and AAC streams and contains a directory of over 7,000 stations from iTunes, Live365, SHOUTcast and Icecast. You can read more about Streamly on my blog, or go to the Streamly web site.
Indie 103.1
In late January of 2009 I wrote an iPhone application for a local Los Angeles radio station, Indie 103.1. This was soon after they went off terrestrial airwaves but kept the station streaming on the Internet. After the app was released, station management invited me on Joe Escalante’s Barely Legal Radio show to thank me. My application has since been replaced by an official app of Indie’s parent company, Entravision. The original application is open source and still available if you can compile and run code on your iPhone/iPod Touch.
audiostreamer-meta
audiostreamer-meta is a fork of the code presented in Matt Gallagher’s post Streaming and playing an MP3 stream. The fork contains new code to parse the artist and track metadata embedded in streams. The project is hosted on Google Code.
